Our first load of donated motorcycle jackets are already on the streets keeping members of Australia’s homeless community warm.

The team from AMCN recently hooked up with the Missionbeat crew, who were out on their daily rounds assisting those in need, before delivering to Mission Australia’s head office at Surry Hills in Sydney a pile of jackets, hoodies and even a box full of brand new blankets that were purchased by reader Jenny Drysdale.

Draggin Jeans has thrown its support behind the AMCN Winter Jacket Drive, sending a box stuffed full of hoodies, jeans and shirts to Dan Strickland at Mission Australia.

A host of other leading distributors are also now onboard, including Link International, Moto National and McLeod Accessories, providing everything from Gassit Pack fillers to discontinued stock!

More jackets are arriving at Gassit HQ daily, so we will be out on the streets again each week getting the donated jackets to those in need as quickly as possible.

AMCN’s Chris Dobie and Mission Australia’s Dan Strickland have been given the keys to a couple of 2018-model Harley-Davidsons and will be using the Fat Boy and Road Glide Custom to hand out the donated jackets.

Strickland is a long-time Harley-Davidson owner and has been keen to throw a leg over the new Fatboy Softail.

The time is now!

Link International, distributors of the Macna range of jackets and accessories, and retail chain Bikebiz have jumped on board for this year’s jacket drive, with a whopping $100 Macna discount voucher to be included in the Gassit Pack, which was already valued at $80. So if you have been thinking about a new jacket, here’s your chance! Just make sure you write your address and shirt size on a piece of paper and put it in one of the pockets of your donated jacket so you don’t miss out!

Force is with us

Highway Patrol officer Senior Constable Ben Buck showed the NSW police force has a big heart when he led the way for a series of donations by members of the NSW police. We may not always agree on the interpretations of the road rules, but underneath the uniform is another bike rider wanting to help out.
